May 14th -- 1 dead, mom's body in car....

Leonida Davila, a 39-year-old Latina female, was found dead with her throat cut inside an SUV belonging to her husband that was parked in the Essex Street Garage on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, according to stories in the Daily News and NY Times.

Davila's handcuffed body was discovered Tuesday night wrapped in a blanket and sitting on the front passenger seat. William Davila, Leonida's estranged husband (photo left), is being sought for questioning. The couple, who had a child together, has a history of domestic violence. Police are asking anyone with information on Davila's whereabouts to call 1-800-577-tips.
