May 18th -- 1 dead and police release sketch in Brooklyn's "dry cleaner" murder case...
Brandon Bethea, a 15-year-old black female, was shot to death at 11 p.m. Saturday when gunfire erupted in the courtyard of the Redfern Houses in Far Rockaway section of Queens, according to a story in the Daily News. Bethea reportedly was dancing in the courtyard and visiting friends when she was caught by a random bullet.
Bethea was a student at a local middle school, and had just been accepted into John Adams High School, according to a report on WINS Radio. Police told The News they do not believe she was the intended target. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital but died in the Emergency Room.

Police have released this sketch of a man they believe is responsible for killing Kyung-Sook Woo, a 63-year-old Asian female, in her dry cleaning store in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, Thursday evening, according to a story in the Daily News. Woo reportedly told a worker in a nearby deli that the man was hanging around her store Thursday evening and making her feel nervous.
Police described the man as being black and between the ages of 18 and 24 years old. He is about 5-feet-7, was wearing eyeglasses, a baseball cap, white shirt, black velour pants and a nylon jacket. He was carrying a black knapsack. He is also suspected of stealing Woo's missing car is a 2008 white Honda Accord with NYS plate number EHS7392.
Cops asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
